A stunning antique circa 1870s to 1890s heavy silverplated serving dome, made by Tiffany & Co. for a private racing yacht named Enchantress.

In excellent condition, no dents or damage. Just very small signs of age/use. It has polished up beautifully! Marked inside Tiffany and Co. makers, silver – soldered. Engraved on one side "Enchantress," and on the other side with an ornate crest.

Enchantress was owned by Joseph F Loubat, Duc de Loubat. He raced Enchantress from the 1870s to early 1900s, and wrote one of the earliest American yachting memoirs "a yachtsman's scrapbook" in which he mentions ordering silver from Tiffany's for the Enchantress.

The dome measures 10.75 inches long by 7.25 inches wide by 6.75 inches tall including the handle.
